Selection Guide for Enamel Steel Plate Water Tank 1
Enamel steel plate water tanks are commonly used in building water supply systems, and selecting the appropriate model requires consideration of multiple factors. The quality of materials directly affects their service life. When selecting, pay attention to whether the thickness of the steel plate meets national standards and whether the inner enamel glaze is uniform and free of bubbles. The high-quality enamel layer can resist water corrosion and prevent steel plates from rusting. The recommended thickness is between 0.8mm and 1.5mm, depending on the capacity of the water tank.
Capacity calculation needs to be combined with actual water demand. For example, for a three story villa with six residents, it is recommended to have a total water storage capacity of 1.5 tons. Residential buildings are estimated to have a daily water consumption of 150 liters per person, office buildings have 50 liters per person per day, and hospitals and other places require an additional 30% redundancy. Reserve 20% buffer space during calculation to prevent insufficient supply during peak water usage periods.
The installation environment determines the structural design of the water tank. Priority should be given to assembling water tanks in narrow spaces, as on-site assembly is more convenient. Reinforced brackets and windproof fixing devices should be selected for the outdoor environment on the roof, and moisture-proof layers and ventilation systems should be installed in the underground space. The diameter of the inspection port shall not be less than 600 millimeters, making it convenient for personnel to enter for internal cleaning and maintenance.
The water quality characteristics affect the selection of accessories. In cold regions, an electric heating antifreeze system must be installed to maintain a water temperature of 5 ℃ or above to prevent freezing and cracking. In hard water areas, magnesium rod anode protection devices are used, and for acidic water with a pH value below 6.5, double-layer enamel technology is required. The position of the inlet and outlet is determined according to the direction of the pipeline. The
side opening is suitable for horizontal pipeline connection, and the bottom opening is more convenient for sediment cleaning.
