SMC Water Tanks
The SMC prefabricated water tank is a new type of water tank widely adopted internationally. It is assembled from high-quality SMC water tank panels. The features include the use of food-grade resin, ensuring good water quality that is clean and uncontaminated. Product Description:
The SMC prefabricated fiberglass water tank is assembled on-site using SMC molded panels, sealing materials, metal structural components, and piping systems. This design offers great convenience for both design and construction. Standard water tanks are typically designed according to established specifications, while custom tanks can be specially designed as needed. The tank can be assembled to a capacity range of 0.125 to 1500 cubic meters based on user requirements. If an existing water tank needs replacement, there is no need to modify the building, providing high adaptability.
The specially developed sealing strip for this tank is non-toxic, water-resistant, highly elastic, and exhibits minimal permanent deformation, ensuring a secure and tight seal. The overall strength of the water tank is high, with no leakage or deformation, and it is easy to maintain and repair.
Product Details:
The SMC water tank is made from SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) sheets produced with food-grade resin, which are then formed by high temperature, high pressure, and mechanical pressing. The manufacturing process uses mechanical compression molding, which enhances the tank's earthquake and impact resistance, overcoming the uneven strength defects associated with hand-layup products. This improves the pressure resistance and extends the service life.
In terms of design, the panels have a convex curvature at the center, which increases the tank's pressure-bearing capacity. The edges of the panels are designed with 45° and 90° connecting borders, eliminating the need for corner connectors during assembly, offering more flexibility and adaptability. The panel sizes available are 1000x1000mm, 1000x500mm, and 500x500mm, with thicknesses of 4mm, 6mm, 7mm, 7.5mm, 9mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. Among these, the 4mm thick panels are specifically used for tank covers. This prefabricated design allows for the flexible assembly of water tanks with varying capacities based on specific needs.
